Ensuring a bright future for stage rallying in the UK

The Sport

RallyFuture

RallyFuture聽is the聽campaign to help ensure a bright future for stage rallying in the UK by promoting and further enhancing聽safety, particularly for spectators.

Primarily, this entails implementing 29 recommendations from the聽 (MESR), which was set up by the Scottish Government following the 2014 Jim Clark Rally. X站福利所 has committed to this implementation programme in a staged manner over approximately two years, until early 2017.

The full list of recommendations – and progress towards implementing them –聽is outlined聽.

鈥淢aybe rallying can never be聽completely safe for the competitor but聽for spectators there are some simple聽personal safeguards which you can聽follow so that you are not putting聽yourself at risk. I ask you, for your聽own sakes, please think where you聽watch from, do not take risks to get聽the best view or the best photo. Listen聽to the marshals and never argue with聽them. Follow paths that have been聽made for you and don鈥檛 please wander聽about in the stage and try and get out聽of the way just as a car is coming.聽I know you聽love our sport, and our聽sport would be nothing without you,聽but do not put yourself and our sport聽at risk. Use that British common聽sense!鈥澛Ari Vatanen, 1981 World Rally Champion
